How it Works: Data, Manifested

IDX-1 is an ambient instrument. It is a physical manifestation of the digital data that shapes your life. By translating frantic numbers into quiet, analogue movement, it allows you to stay informed without the lure of a digital notification.

Setup: 3 Simple Steps

1. Power: Plug in USB power
2. Connect: Use your phone to join IDX-1’s temporary WiFi portal.
3. Configure: Select your data source (e.g., Bitcoin price, Weather, or AQI) and your preferred lighting effect. No coding or apps required. Setup is entirely browser-based.

The Logic of the Dial

Because the gauge face is a minimalist canvas without digits, the mapping is designed to be intuitive and glanceable.

• Relative Tracking: For markets like Stocks or Crypto 24h trends, the centre of the dial represents zero change. A sweep to the right indicates a rise; a sweep to the left indicates a fall. It's the vibe of the market in visual form.
• Absolute Tracking: For data like local Air Quality (AQI), or Crypto Fear & Greed Index, the dial maps to a fixed 0–100 scale.
• Focus Tracking: Use the gauge as a physical Pomodoro timer, watching your focus time sweep toward completion in a way that feels tangible and finite.

IDX-1 is released in strictly limited batches to maintain our standards. Once the current allocation is exhausted, the store will move to a waitlist for the next production cycle.
